Since 2006, it has been a part of the KION Group, Europe’s leading manufacturer of forklifts and warehouse equipment based on the highest sales figures. As a leading forklift manufacturer, they prioritize the use of cutting-edge technologies.

TASK

For businesses, it becomes increasingly challenging to be present at exhibitions and showcase their products or services to a wide audience. However, our customer faced a specific problem: how to reduce the tens of thousands of euros in costs associated with renting, transporting, and operating a forklift simulator while meeting the logistics needs.

We aimed to provide our customers with an innovative solution that is not only cost-effective but also user-friendly. The goal was to create a compact, portable forklift simulator that can be easily transported and operated by anyone – even a daughter or son.

OUR SOLUTION

We divided the assigned task into two phases. In the first phase, we created a virtual showroom where, despite the limitations of the Quest, we managed to achieve a photorealistic walkable forklift. The second step involved designing a forklift mini-game, where the challenge was to successfully place 2 out of 3 boxes on the shelves from the loading point within a time limit of 5 minutes. The difficulty was further heightened by the possibility of breaking the boxes upon collision. We aimed to maintain high-quality graphics while creating a realistic forklift and implementing physical simulations.

The simulator’s innovative control system allows users to experience forklift driving authentically without posing any risks to events or surroundings. Thanks to its intuitive user interface, the simulator is easily customizable to suit different environments and users.
